Description

There are numerous diseases that are transmitted either exclusively or primarily through intimate sexual contact. In the past, sexually transmitted diseases (STD's) were termed venereal diseases. Recently, new communicable diseases have been added...and they are on the rise. These include trichomoniasis, chlamydia, genital herpes, genital warts, AIDS, genital candidiasis (yeast infection), and syphilis.
