2-Amino-3-Methylvaleric Acid

Description

Isoleucine, an isomer of leucine, is an essential amino acid and should be part of your daily diet. It is known as a Branched-Chain Amino Acid (BCAA), which prevents other amino acids from being broken down.

Isoleucine works in combination with L-leucine and L-valine in the body to protect muscle tissue. Found in high concentrations in muscle tissue, it is metabolized and used as provides fuel. Isoleucine stabilizes and regulates blood sugar and energy levels. It produces certain biochemical compounds that help in energy production and aids in hemoglobin formation.
