Skim milk is an ideal source of isoleucine, at 63.6mg per gram of protein. Cooked soy beans, oatmeal, and dry, raw garbanzo beans (chic/chick peas) all tie for second at 59 mg/g, 58.5 mg/g, and 58 mg/g, respectively.

Isoleucine is found in high concentrations in cheeses, fish, meats, wheat germ, and most nuts and seeds. It is also found in chicken, eggs, lentils, rye, and soy protein.

Isoleucine is also available as part of a multi-amino acid complex and most protein powder supplements.
