2,5-Diaminovaleric Acid

Description

Ornithine is produced in the body from L-arginine and serves as the precursor to proline, glutamic acid, and citrulline. Ornithine and arginine are involved in releasing growth hormones that promote the metabolism of excess body fat.

This amino acid also stimulates insulin secretion and helps insulin to work as an anabolic (muscle-building) hormone. Ornithine is needed for proper liver and immune system function. It regenerates the liver and detoxifies ammonia in the body.
