Skim milk contains high levels of threonine, at 46.7 mg per gram of protein. Oatmeal runs second at 44.5 mg/g with chicken in third at 43 mg/g.

Threonine is also found in brown rice, potatoes, red meat, and soy. Grains contain low levels of threonine.

Threonine is also available as part of a multi-amino acid complex and protein powder supplements.
