2-Amino-3-Methylbutanoic Acid

Description

Valine is an essential amino acid and should be part of your daily diet. It is known as a Branched-Chain Amino Acid (BCAA), which prevents other amino acids from being broken down.

Valine works in combination with isoleucine and L-leucine in the body to protect muscle tissue. Found in high concentrations in muscle tissue, it is metabolized, used as fuel, and spares glucose in the process. Valine also helps maintain the protective myelin sheaths of nerves.
