Latin Name: Zingiber officinale

Description

Ginger is steam distilled from the root that is commonly grown in China, among other countries. It has a warm, spicy odour that is known by many. Women have been known to use ginger on their bodies to captivate their men, for it is known to be a potent aphrodisiac.

An interesting thing to note is that scientists have successfully used the essential oil to kill the typhoid baccilus in less than half an hour.
