Latin Name: Clematis vitalba

Description

Characteristics: Dreamers, Lack of Interest in Present

Clematis is one of Bach's original twelve remedies. It is for those who often live in a dream world. These people are artistic, creative and love to look forward to the future and thus fantasize about it. They can lack interest in the present as they are overjoyed with the prospects of the future. As a result they may become inattentive, dreamy and absent minded living in their own reality and disenchanted with their surroundings. They are unhappy in their present role and thus escape by fantasizing about better times. They easily lose interest in a conversation and find it difficult to concentrate on a task for an extended period of time. They often have a poor memory, fall asleep easily, lack energy, and appear absent minded. This remedy should be taken by those who are dreamy, absent minded, and live more in the future than in the present.

Ailments / Situations Where Used

Clematis will help these individuals gain interest and attention in the thoughts of others rather then living in their dream world. They will begin to enjoy their current life, appreciating it for all it is, instead of escaping to the future. Their mind will settle, allowing tasks to be completed efficiently and with enthusiasm.
