The inner self knows that they have the ability to succeed but are frightened by the thought of failure. Situations of self modesty cause the individual to lack success in their life, and will inhibit rewarding tasks from being completed. A consequence of this behaviour is that life's opportunities tend to pass them by as a result of their self reliance. Larch is especially useful before exams, interviews, or before any time of evaluation. Larch is often associated with Elm, as Larch people feel inadequate, Elm people tend to have a temporary loss of self confidence.
