Latin Name: Quercus robur

Description

Characteristic: Exhausted but Struggles On

Oak people are brave. There is little that is negative about their temperament; they are fighters, solid, reliable people -- as the Oak tree is, however, this remedy is needed when a point of exhaustion is reached. They are overachievers, they overwork themselves and ignore the tiredness and fatigue they feel. They have a strong sense of duty, are helpful and reliable to others, but do not realize when they have taken on too many tasks. They shoulder the burdens of the world and do not complain about it. They tend to be the supporters of their family.

Ailments / Situations Where Used

Although the Oak individual may seem as a positive description, it is when the inner being begins to collapse creating exhaustion that this remedy is needed. Oak is taken to rebuild strength, restore energy, and bring on the realization that relaxation is a key factor to life.
