Description

Dr. Bach formulated one composite remedy, which he called "Rescue Remedy". This formula is to be taken in times of emergency or severe distress.

Rescue Remedy contains 5 Bach flowers:

Cherry Plum: For loss of emotional control resulting in hysteria.

Clematis: For the light-headed feeling one gets before fainting.

Impatiens: For mental and physical stress due to an irritated mind.

Rock Rose: For fear or panic.

Star of Bethlehem: For shock.

Rescue Remedy has the ability to restore the mind and body to an equilibrium state. Once this balance is reached, the combination will no longer have an effect...even with continued use.

Ailments / Situations Where Used

As mentioned previously, this formula is to be taken in times of emergency or severe distress.

Rescue Remedy can be used when one receives devastating news: there is a family upset, a death to be dealt with, an accident, or when one is scared or confused. The remedy helps relax the mind, which in turn calms the nerves. With a clear mind one is able to face any situation.

NOTE: This remedy is not to be used in place of medical attention. Its purpose is to relieve mental anguish and help calm the individual until medical attention is sought.

Rescue Remedy is especially helpful before dealing with frightening events such as flying, visiting the dentist, or writing an exam.

Dosage

Rescue Remedy does not need to be diluted. Four drops from the stock bottle can be placed directly under the tongue. The remedy can be taken as often as the individual feels it is needed until a state of equilibrium is achieved. The remedy has a tendency to make people drowsy, which is seen as a positive effect. Sleep relaxes the body and stops the confusion in the mind. Other then a sleepy state, there are no side effects when taking Rescue Remedy.

Rescue Remedy Cream

Rescue Remedy Cream contains the same five flower remedies as the tincture, while a sixth flower, Crab Apple, has been added. Crab Apple is used when one has a feeling of uncleanliness and is extremely beneficial for cuts, burns, bruises, sprains, stings, bites, or tense muscles.

The cream is non-lanolin, non-antiseptic, and is homeopathically prepared. For more information on homeopathy, see the dedicated section.
