Latin Name: Hottonia Palustris

Description

Characteristics: Proud, Aloof

Water Violet is one of Bach's original twelve remedies. The problem with these individuals is that they are so self-reassured that they find it difficult to discuss any of their problems with others, causing them to bear the grief of silence. Like the Oak and Vine personality, the Water Violet person is filled with positive attributes. They are strong, reassured, and confident. They enjoy spending time alone or surround themselves with a few people that are dear to them. They are content and confident in their decision making abilities, and are secure in many facets of their life. They give advice freely and honestly when asked, and will not interfere or force others to change their views. Often the Water Violet person has a protective shield that surrounds them, and others find it difficult to penetrate. Although people may be in awe of them and their confidence they also find the Water Violet person unapproachable, and intimidating. This avoidance by others is a direct link to the Water Violet's feeling of loneliness.
