DMSO

Description

Dimethylsulfoxide looks similar to mineral oil, is somewhat oily, and faintly smells like garlic. As a solvent, it is often used as a degreaser, paint thinner, and antifreeze. Surprisingly, DMSO also has a number of therapeutic properties.

DMSO is absorbed through the skin where it enters the bloodstream. The substance travels through the circulatory system and is eventually excreted through urine.
