Optimal Absorption Barley grass can have a powerful cleansing effect on your body. Start with low doses so as not to shock your system and work your way up. Barley grass has a rather "unique" taste that will take getting used to. If using in powder form, take 1 - 3 teaspoons (3 - 9g) daily in 8oz./250mL water, vegetable juice, or any non-citrus juice. Use a jar with a tight-fitting lid and shake for ten seconds. Take on an empty stomach. If using in capsule form, take 500mg two to three times daily with meals. If preparing barley grass juice at home, use a high quality juicer that does not generate a lot of friction and heat. The nutritional quality of barley grass is reduced when poorly processed. |
