Family: Rosaceae

 
Description

This tree was said to be sacred due to a legend that claimed Jesus' "Crown of Thorns" was made from the branches of the hawthorn tree. Hawthorn can grow up to 30 feet tall and live many years. Hawthorn wood creates a fire hotter than any other wood.
