Description

The deep red colour of the ancient rose was said to come from the blood of Adonis. The Romans generously used this queen of flowers for both banquets and funerals. When first introduced to countries with their own literature, roses became the themes of poems and legends. Today there are over 10,000 varieties cultivated.
