Honey Bee

Latin Name: Apis mellifica

 
Description

This remedy is derived from an animal and may not be suitable or appropriate if you are vegetarian or vegan.


 

Ailments / Situations Where Used

Apis is useful for bee stings that are burning, stinging, red, and swelling. The person is intolerant to pain and there is a bursting sensation of the swollen area.

This remedy may also be useful if you are allergic to bee-stings. However, you are strongly advised to discuss this option with your homeopath, naturopath, or other health practitioner to determine the appropriate of this remedy for bee stings, considering the potentially life-threatening nature of this situation.

Apis is also useful for arthritis accompanied by a red, glossy look, to the affected are. It is also very useful for a variety of allergies, especially food allergies, when the individual experiences swelling around the eyes.
