(also referred to as...)

Fallkraut, Leopard's Bane, Mountain Daisy

Latin Name: Arnica montana

Description

This plant is a member of the Compositae family. It is usually one of the first remedies used after a muscle-related injury, head injury, or before surgery.

Arnica is commonly prepared as an ointment for external application.

The Arnica person is restless, does not like to be touched, and, if injured, thinks that they are all right.

Ailments / Situations Where Used

Arnica is the first remedy of choice in any trauma or injury, unless there is broken skin. It is appropriate for bruising with black and blue areas. NOTE: Do not apply Arnica on an open wound as it will cause pain.

Arnica is a very powerful remedy when it comes to internal or external bleeding of any kind. It is also useful for treating shock following a stroke, heart attack, or personal injury.

Source
