Calcium Sulfide, Hannemann's Calcium Sulphide, Hepar Sulph.

Latin Name: Hepar sulphuris calcareum

 
Description

This remedy is truly unique to homeopathy. It is prepared by burning equal parts flowers of sulfur and oyster shells together in a closed container, thereby producing imoure sulfide of calcium.

The Hepar person is usually very sensitive to all external impressions, especially to touch. They are also emotionally hypersensitive.


 

Ailments / Situations Where Used

This remedy is appropriate for chilliness and aggravation from being cold or feeling even a slight draft of cold air.

Hepar Sulphuris is useful during the later stages of infection in abscesses, boils, the common cold, cough, earache, and sore throats. There is a discharges of pus from infection, usually accompanied by foul-smelling, swollen, glands. Sore throat occurs with stitching, splinter-like pains, and a hoarse, barking cough.
