(also referred to as...)

Flint

Latin Name: Silicea terra

Description

Typical Silicea individuals are refined, delicate, yielding, sensitive, poor self-confidence, quick minded but shy, excessively tired, and in doubts about his/her work. Generally, they are very sensitive to the cold and have a tendency to repeatedly catch colds.

Ailments / Situations Where Used

There are several nervous system related symptoms in which Silicea could be useful. The individual anticipates events and is afraid of them before they actually happen. When the event does occur, s/he does very well. This is often referred to as anxiety resulting from anticipation.

Silicea is also useful for chronic headaches that start from the neck and migrate to the temples. Wrapping the head up warmly and squeezing it tight improves this condition. The person may also have difficulty concentrating.

Silicea is a ideal for certain skin conditions, including cold, sweaty, feet with an offensive smell, and deformed, brittle, yellowish nails with white spots.
