Ailments / Situations Where Used Enemas are used to treat constipation and migraine headaches. They complement a liver detoxification program and may also help relieve pain for some situations. Enemas relieve fever symptoms and facilitate quick elimination of toxins from the body. They may be used daily in this case until the condition improves. Enemas may also be combined with fasting to promote the elimination of toxins released during the fast. Catnip tea enemas can be used to bring down a high fever, specifically when internal temperature reaches 102ºF - 103ºF, and relieve associated constipation and congestion that further aggravate this condition. This enema can be taken as frequently as every four to six hours during the initial phase of the fever. Reduce to twice daily for the duration of the fever, if required. NOTE: Children under two should not be given a catnip tea enema. Lemon juice enemas can relieve colon disorders and are used during detoxification programs to cleanse the colon of fecal matter and other toxins. If dealing with colitis, this enema can be used once a week and will often quickly relieve discomfort. If dealing with constipation, prepare a lemon juice enema once a week as well as a coffee enema (see below) once a week. This approach will promote proper bowel movement and clean the colon. A lemon juice enema also balances colon pH (relative acid/alkaline levels). Coffee enemas are useful for detoxification following a serious illness, hospitalization, and toxin exposure and / or chemical poisoning. A coffee enema is often used to treat fast-induced headaches caused by the sudden release of toxins during the fast. L. Bifidus enemas relieve severe cases of gas and bloating (often providing rapid relief) and prove helpful in treating candidiasis and other yeast infections. This type of enema is also useful after colon therapy, which may have depleted beneficial bacteria stores in the digestive tract. In general, L. Bifidus enemas replace bacterial flora, improve digestion, and help fight yeast infections. NOTE: L. Bifidus enemas should only be used three to six times per year. NOTE: Before preparing an enema, thoroughly read the Contraindications ... section below. Do not attempt any enema on your own if you do not feel comfortable with the procedure. Many clinics offer enema services and you may wish to consult with their specialists. |
