Treatment Session/Duration Place ice pack in indicated area 15 to 30 minutes, repeat ice pack every 1 to 3 hours, where necessary. Effects on the Body - This is a long cold application so the first physiological response from the body is vasoconstriction, followed quickly by vasodilation, then eventual vasoconstriction results.
